Overview

Anxiety is one of the most common mental health concerns and can present as persistent worry, overthinking, restlessness, racing thoughts, difficulty concentrating, panic symptoms, or physical tension and fatigue. While occasional stress and anxiety are a normal part of life, chronic anxiety can interfere with relationships, work, sleep, emotional wellbeing, and daily functioning.

At Waves of Change Counseling and Healing, we provide telehealth anxiety therapy and online counseling for adults across New Jersey. Our therapists help clients better understand the root causes of anxiety while developing practical coping strategies, emotional regulation skills, and healthier thought patterns to reduce symptoms and regain a greater sense of calm, balance, and control.

Treatment Approaches

Our clinicians use evidence-based therapeutic methods tailored to each client’s needs, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT):

Helps clients identify and challenge anxious thought patterns.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS):

Helps individuals understand protective emotional “parts” that drive worry, fear, or overthinking.

  • Exposure-Based Strategies:

Gradually reduce avoidance behaviors that maintain anxiety.

  • Mindfulness and Relaxation Techniques:

Help regulate the body’s stress response.
