About Alicia
Alicia Day is the owner of Waves of Change Counseling and Healing and a Licensed Professional Counselor and Clinical Supervisor with over eight years of experience supporting children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. She specializes in working with high-achieving professionals who are struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, and burnout. Many of her clients appear successful and capable on the outside, yet internally feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or weighed down by constant pressure and self-doubt.
In addition to helping clients manage anxiety and depression, Alicia provides trauma-informed therapy for survivors of sexual abuse, emotional abuse, and physical abuse. She understands how trauma can shape self-worth, relationships, and daily functioning long after the experience has passed. Her work focuses on helping clients process painful experiences, build resilience, and move toward lasting healing and empowerment.
Alicia earned her Master’s degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, PA. Her background includes work in inpatient psychiatric settings, partial and intensive outpatient programs, school-based services, intensive in-home and community programs, and outpatient therapy. This breadth of experience allows her to support clients with a wide range of mental health concerns across different stages of life.
