ABOUT AMANDA

Amanda M. Gonzalez is a Clinical Mental Health Student and counselor in training at Liberty University with over 12 years of experience in child and family services. Currently serving as Regional Coordinator for Supportive Visitation Services at Acenda Integrated Health, Amanda leads multidisciplinary teams in delivering trauma-informed, family-centered care to support reunification and long-term stability.

APPROACH TO THERAPY

Passionate about working with couples, families, and children, Amanda aims to integrate holistic, nature-based approaches—such as gardening and eco-therapy—into her clinical practice. Her professional focus includes counseling survivors of domestic violence, women, children, parents, couples, and families, as well as supporting parents and families of individuals with disabilities by fostering resilience and connection.

Fluent in Spanish, Amanda brings cultural sensitivity and a deep appreciation for diversity to her work, enhancing her ability to provide compassionate and inclusive care.

FUN FACTS

Outside of her professional role, Amanda is a devoted wife of 14 years and mother to an energetic 8-year-old who loves softball and dance. She’s also a dedicated dog mom to a playful lab mix. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, cooking, music, and supporting her husband by DJing weddings and community events through their family-run entertainment business.
