Trauma & PTSD Therapy

Trauma can result from distressing or overwhelming experiences such as abuse, violence, accidents, loss, or other life-altering events. Some individuals develop symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), which may include intrusive memories, hypervigilance, emotional numbness, or difficulty feeling safe.

Our therapists help clients process traumatic experiences in a safe and supportive environment while rebuilding a sense of stability and control.

Overview

Treatment Approaches

Our clinicians use evidence-based therapeutic methods tailored to each client’s needs, including:

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS): Helps individuals identify and heal wounded emotional “parts” that formed in response to traumatic experiences while strengthening a sense of internal balance and self-leadership.

  • Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT): Helps clients reprocess traumatic experiences and reduce distressing thoughts.

  • Somatic and Mindfulness-Based Approaches: Support nervous system regulation and help individuals reconnect safely with their bodies.

  • Grounding and Stabilization Skills: Provide practical tools to manage triggers, emotional overwhelm, and trauma responses.
