Ashley Lemise, LSW
I help children, teens, young adults, and new mothers navigate anxiety, emotional challenges, relationships, and life transitions through a creative, individualized approach that builds confidence and celebrates their unique strengths.
Hi, I’m Ashley! I believe therapy doesn’t have to look one particular way to be meaningful. Sometimes growth happens through conversation, sometimes through creativity and hands-on activities, and sometimes simply by having a space where you can show up exactly as you are.
My goal is to create a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment where you feel comfortable being yourself without fear of judgment. I recognize that everyone’s experiences, emotions, and ways of communicating are different, and I believe therapy should reflect those differences rather than follow a one-size-fits-all approach.
My Areas of Focus
Family relationships and communication
Life transitions and identity development
Anxiety and emotional regulation
Children and adolescents (particularly ages 11-13)
Coping skills and self-esteem
Parenting stress & caregiver overwhelm
Neurodivergent teens and young adults
New motherhood and postpartum adjustment
My Approach
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, creative, and individualized. I believe meaningful progress happens when clients feel genuinely understood and actively involved in their own growth.
For children and adolescents, this often means incorporating creativity, interactive activities, and strategies that make therapy feel approachable and engaging. Rather than expecting every client to engage in traditional conversation, I adapt our work to their individual strengths, interests, and needs.
Together, we may explore emotional regulation, develop practical coping skills, strengthen communication, navigate challenges, or work through feelings of anxiety and uncertainty.
I also recognize the importance of family relationships and the role they play in a young person's growth. When appropriate, I value collaborating with parents and caregivers to help strengthen understanding, connection, and support beyond the therapy room.
Above all, I believe that every individual already possesses strengths worth recognizing and building upon. Therapy isn't about changing who you are. It's about better understanding yourself, developing confidence, and finding tools that support you in everyday life.
What It’s Like to Work with Me
Starting therapy can feel unfamiliar, especially for children and adolescents who may not know what to expect or how to express what they’re experiencing.
My hope is to make that process feel a little less intimidating.
You don’t need to have the right words, know exactly what you’re struggling with, or have everything figured out before we begin. We’ll work together at a pace that feels comfortable, celebrating progress along the way and making room for the difficult days, too.
Whether you’re a parent seeking support for your child, a young adult navigating life’s transitions, or a new mother adjusting to a different season of life, I’m here to offer a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered.
I look forward to meeting you and discovering what growth can look like for you.
